Official Identification with Photo [Amtlicher Lichtbildausweis]
An official identification with photo is a document of identification provided with a photograph issued by an official authority.
In order to be able to be used as proof of identity, an official identification with photo must contain all important personal data (such as surname, first name, date and place of birth).
If no official identification with photo is present, an identity witness [Identitätszeuge] is required.

The aforementioned documents are the most common documents which are valid official identifications with photo.
